The most usual thing in the worls is to see me with a big mug in my hands or by my side while I'm at home - reading, working on the computer, cooking, takig care of my place, talking to people...
As with anything that comes out of my kitchen, I like to expertiment new blends, that's the number
one reason to desencourage me from using tea bags.

As I often do, I looked into my refrigerator to get some inspiration. I was hungry.

I thought to myself "something that cooks fast".

Therefore I used squash, zucchini and chayote. I think it was the quickest/ yummiest soup I've ever made. The hunger might have influenced this perception...

Lately I was making an effort to post at least once a week, but in the last few days it
simply wasn't possible. Thankfully, for good reasons.
And even without recent posts, without many frequent readers, I was very glad to know
- through blogger's statistics - that some readers showed up from places I hadn't imagine,
from faraway countries such as Turkey or Estonia.

I adapted this recipe from Jamie Oliver, and it fits perfectly for a cold night.

I don't really think it is very much like his recipe, but it tasted good and cozy.

Unlike the famous chef, I put potatoes in the soup and left the bread out.

This is a classic among the breakfasts in my mom's house, specially in the winter.

It is real simple, heartwarming, and works wonders when one needs to eat and has a stomachache.

This one is very soft and yummy, adapted from wild yeast.

March 1st was  for me a day to celebrate new and old things, both very important.

I worked hard, had a delicious dinner at an Italian restaurant, and today is a day to tidy up the house.

So here goes a simple lunch, which stays in the oven while I organize things around my place.

Butternut squash lasagna.

Lately I have seen many recipes with squash in foreign blogs,
and that made me want to eat it as well.
Sure I'll have to wait until they are in season, but even so I found some butternut squashes at the market that will do the trick.
Anyway, it's been raining a lot in São Paulo and the temperature has come down.
Which is great for a lasagna!
